“PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter celebrated National PR Day on the National Theme of "Salutations - Indian Armed Forces"

It was a mixture of emotional moments as well as Celebrations at the Bhavan's JA Auditorium on 21st April, 2017 - FRIDAY night as PRSI - Ahmedabad Chapter celebrated the National PR DAY with Salutations to the Indian Armed Forces.

The program began with divine Shlokas of Bhagwad Vidyapeeth Students and and it was followed by Candle light Homage to Late Martyred Lance Naik Gopal Singh Bhadoria by all the Distinguished Armed Forces dignitaries and members of Ahmedabad PRSI Chapter. Lata Mangeshkar's soulful voice of Aae Mere Watan ke logo..gave an emotional backdrop to this occasion. Later a Cheque was presented to the Bhadoria family by the PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter.

Ms. Kulveen Narula and Mr. Subhojit Sen of PRSI - Ahmedabad Chapter welcomed the guests. Session 1 saw the attendance of Major General Subhash Sharan - ADG, NCC, Wing Commander - Abhiskek Matiman, Defence PRO, Retd. Air Marshall - P. K Desai and Deputy Commandent, 06 Battalian, NDRF Gandhinagar - Shri Ranvijay Kumar Singh. Senior journalists like Executive Editor of ABP group - Shri Brajesh Kumar Singh and Gujarat Vaibhav's seasoned Defence Journalist - Mr. Sagheer Mehdi asked questions to the guests on the Dias, ranging from the Militancy Scenario in the Valley and Solutions to address the youth, Bureaucracy in Indian Armed Forces, Role of Communication during Sensitive National emergency issues and crisis and the role of NDRF during Natural and Man Made disaster situations like Floods, Earthquakes, Terrorist attacks and such events.

The distinguished guests were joined by some renowned Telly and Screen actors on stage like Manav Gohil and Bhakti Kubavat and it was followed by the launch of PRSI - Ahmedabad Chapter's latest 8 Page Newsletter - PURVIEW - The Change Makers which informed the audience about the Chapter's activities.

Session 2 saw RADIO ONE RJ Shamina in conversation with the Celebrities Manav Gohil and Ms. Bhakti who shared their Salutations and experiences with the Armed Forces. There was also a chat on Moral Policing and the need of Changing Perspectives towards Women in the Society..

Mr. Shashikant Bhagat of PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter enchanted the crowd with his Quiz Session and some interesting questions of Indian Armed Forces.. Students of NIMCJ presented some wonderful songs dedicated to the Army Officials.

Then the Celebrations began with Arvind Vegda on the Dias with Kids of Yuva Unstoppable and DM School, Sola Bhagwat adding a patriotic flavour to the evening.

Mr. Unmesh Dixit - NVP, West of PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter and Mr. R K Singh, Chairman - PRSI Ahmedabad Chapter shared their thoughts with all the guests and thanked them for their presence.
